Monday – October 09

2nd Period

  • Respond to the following prompt in your Writing journal–Title: “Motivational Monday” In your own words, tell me what this quote means to you. “Plan your day, or your day will plan you.” 
  • Review for our exam Wednesday

7th Period

  • SSR Reading warm up.
  • Flocabulary assignment in Google Classroom – Parts of Speech Review/Practice

Tuesday – October 10

2nd Period

Complete the Exam Review Together as a Group

7th Period

  • SSR Reading warm up.
  • Lesson over Acrostic Poems.
  • Look at examples and then start brainstorming and writing the first draft.

Wednesday – October 11

2nd Period

  • 9 week exam
  • Respond to the following prompt in your Writing journal–Title: “Would You Rather Wednesday?” – Would you rather go to a professional football game or a professional baseball game?  Tell me why?

7th Period

  • SSR Reading warm up.
  • Work on your Acrostic Poem.
  • Pair up and peer edit each other’s poems.

Thursday – October 12

2nd Period

  • Respond to the following prompt in your Writing journal– Title: “Think About It Thursday” – Do you think student’s should be allowed to use their phones during school? Why or why not? Give me 2 supporting reasons for your opinion.
  • Review correct answers on our 9 weeks exam.
  • Make Corrections

7th Period

  • SSR Reading warm up.
  • Finish any make/up or late work for the 9 weeks.

Friday – October 13

2nd Period

  • Respond to the following prompt in your daily journal–Title:  “FriYay”– Write down a memory, quote, phrase, or positive thought that makes you feel Happy and add it to our “JOY JAR”.  Please use complete sentences and keep it school appropriate.
  • Continue reading our novel series as a class.

7th Period

  • SSR Reading warm up.
  • Finish publishing your Acrostic Poem.
