  • Word of the Day Study #1 
  • Continue Simple/Compound/Complex Sentences

7th Period

  • SSR/Reading
  • “Read Mentor Text 3.9 – Paired STAAR Cambium Passages – Monarch Madness/Red Crab Invasion – Practice UNWRAP and Read the passages
  • Introduce Limerick Writing Activity – Brainstorm/Drafting

Tuesday, March 5

2nd Period

  • Respond to the following prompt in your Daily Writing Journal– Title: “Tasty Tuesday” – What is your favorite genre of food?  (examples: Mexican, Cajun, Seafood, Italian, Chinese, etc..?) Tell me what you enjoy most about this type of food using descriptive words.
  • Word of the Day Study – #2
  • Writing Compound Sentences Activity

7th Period

  • SSR/Reading
  • “Read Mentor Text 3.9 – Paired STAAR Cambium Passages – Monarch Madness/Red Crab Invasion – Practice Identifying the Controlling Idea and supporting evidence.
  • Keep Working on Limerick Writing Activity – Revise/Edit

Wednesday, March 6

2nd Period

  • Respond to the following prompt in your Daily Writing Journal– Title: “Would You Rather Wednesday”– Would you rather lose your vision or lose your hearing? Tell me why.

  • Identifying Compound Sentences/Fanboys/Commas

7th Period

Thursday, March 7

2nd Period

  • Respond to the following prompt in your Daily Writing Journal– Title: “Think About it Thursday” – Think about a time that you were sick and couldn’t get out of bed. Write a list of things that you would have wanted a person caring for you to bring to you.
  • Word of the Day Study – #3 

7th Period

  • SSR/Reading
  • “Read Mentor Text 3.9 – STAAR Cambium Passage 
  •  Limerick Writing Activity – Final Draft due

Friday, March 8

2nd Period

  •  “Joy Jar” –  Write down a moment or a memory that makes you feel happy. If you can’t think of a moment or memory, then write down one positive thought.  Please use complete sentences and keep it school appropriate.
  • Continue Reading our weekly class novel.

7th Period

  • SSR/Reading
  • Book Talk to Mrs. G.
  • Finish publishing Limerick Poem if not finished. 
  • It’s Sensory Shopping Door Day!!!!  Bring your tickets!
