Tuesday – October 24
2nd Period
- Respond to the following prompt in your Writing Journal–Title: “Tasty Tuesday”– What is your favorite restaurant to eat at? What is your favorite thing to order there?
- Revise and Peer Edit “Spooky Short Stories” with a partner
7th Period
- SSR Reading
- Finish Spooky themed Short Story – Publish
Wednesday – October 25
2nd Period
- Respond to the following prompt in your Writing Journal–Title: “Would You Rather Wednesday?” – Would you rather dress up in a costume and go trick-or-treating OR stay at home and hand out candy? Why?
- Assignment – Descriptive Language
- Finish your Fall Sensory Poem (if not complete)
7th Period

Thursday – October 26
2nd Period
- Respond to the following prompt in your Writing Journal–Title: “Think About It Thursday” – Think about your favorite possession. Write a descriptive paragraph using words that explain how it sounds, looks, smells, tastes, or feels.
- Finish Spooky themed Short Story – (If not complete)

Friday – October 27
2nd Period
- Respond to the following prompt in your daily journal–Title: “FriYay”– Write down a memory, quote, phrase, or positive thought that makes you feel Happy and add it to our “JOY JAR”. Please use complete sentences and keep it school appropriate.
- Continue reading our fall novel series as a class.
7th Period
- SSR Reading
- Make sure BOTH your Fall Sensory Poem and your Spooky Short Story are published
